How can we help?
We provide support for internationally educated professionals entering the job market in their field of study.
Welcome to the Puget Sound Welcome Back Center
The Puget Sound Welcome Back Center will provide counseling and educational services to help prepare you to practice your profession in Washington state.
Brain waste occurs when a high-skilled individual is either unemployed or employed as a low-skilled worker because their skills, qualifications, or education is not recognized. According to a 2013 publication, 23% of foreign-born college educated new Americans in Washington State are affected by brain waste.*
The Puget Sound Welcome Back Center works with individuals, employers, city and state agencies, and educational institutions to minimize brain waste in Washington State.
