    in any other healthcare profession before you came to the U.S?

The Puget Sound Welcome Back Center will provide counseling and educational services to help prepare you to practice your healthcare profession in Washington state.

Mission Statement

The Puget Sound Welcome Back Center builds bridges between the pool of internationally trained professionals living in Washington and the need for linguistically and culturally competent professional services. Its goal is to assist these professionals to make the best use of their professional skills through respectful, innovative, and individualized career counseling and educational services.

NCLEX-RN Program and English as a Second Language
Winter 2013

Renton Technical College’s I-BEST* / International
NCLEXRN Program

Nursing component includes:

  • Scope of Practice, Health care trends in the USA
    Pharmacology
    Medical-Surgical
    Pediatrics
    Maternal-Child
    Mental Health

Skills laboratory with advanced tech simulators and state of the art equipment
Faculty lead clinical component upon completion of NCLEX-RN

Language component includes:

  •  Reading, writing, vocabulary and study skills to compliment the nursing topics.
     TOEFL preparation

Practical computer skills that will enhance current class work and aid you
in the nursing field
Separate instructor for language content and nursing content

ATI testing and benchmarking to assist with NCLEX preparation for RN board exams

The program runs 4-5 evenings and Saturdays for 2 quarters

TOEFL Orientation Sessions-WINTER Quarter

January 4th or 11th, 2013
Time: 9 AM - 12 PM
Place: Building 19 - Room 101

Attend a mandatory orientation for the TOEFL preparation class.

Highline Community College through Continuing Education will
offer a TOEFL preparation class for 10 weeks this winter. 
Come and learn how you can participate.
